Tove Wium-Andersen is studying advanced treatment of urban stormwater runoff. The central objective of the study is to investigate the effect of different treatment concepts on the toxicity of stormwater runoff. The study is focusing on treatment by wet detention ponds with additional treatment technologies as iron enriched bottom sediment, flow proportional addition of aluminum and adsorption to a fixed media.
